Let me start off by saying, Matt gave me the option of a ten, four or one mile hike. Due to the fact I've been feeling fat (partially due to the fact that I'm ghostly white), I responded with ten mile hike. His response, " No, pick four or one." Why give me the option of ten if you had already nixed that idea?!?! Boys!
We ended up doing the four mile hike and it was awesome! It was around Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, TN. The flowers were starting to bloom and as you hiked, you could see the landscape change. We stopped half way through and had lunch on a rock overlooking the lake. I can't wait to do it again!
The best part of the whole hike was this cross on the beach. It was made out of wood and was perfectly placed. It was one of those moments when you stop and realize God is always there. While Matt was taking pictures, I found a rock to sit on and just counted my blessings.
What a great day! Looking forward to our next hike and what we might find along the way!
