Watch for Ice

Being from Louisiana, we never got any snow and it was always a treat. When I first moved to Nashville, all I wanted was snow. Now that I live in Nashville, I'm over it.

Just to give you a rundown of what I have to endure just to get home....

I have to go over three hills to get to my house - not one or two, but three. While driving down my street last night, I saw a line of cars backed up before I even got to the first hill. There was a nice man who rolled down his window to tell me cars were wrecking at the bottom of the hill - that hill would be the first one I must conquer, of course.  I decided I would just park my happy little big a$$ there and walk home.

After this morning, I can now tell my parents I know what it's like to hike uphill with boxes for shoes just to get to school  (I wish) work. Not only did I look like "the bag lady", but I also looked like an oopaloompa with all of my layers on. I successfully made it down the first hill, to then bust it down the second. I didn't have very far to fall since I'm so close to the groung.....guess it's a good thing I'm so short! Needless to say, by the time I finished hiking to my car I had broken a sweat - not unusual for me. While sitting in my car waiting for it to warm up, I dreamed about my "toes in the water, a$$ in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand."

This my friends, is why I'm over it. If I didn't have to make it into work and could be a snow bunny, I'd be wonderful and beautiful. For now, I leave you with an image of me sprawled out in the middle of the road trying to pull myself up.
